How often should I have my boiler serviced?

For safety & efficiency, you should arrange for a registered gas safe engineer to service your boiler at least annually.

Why is my radiator cold at the top but hot at the bottom?

This usually means there is air trapped at the top of the radiator. The first step would be to bleed the radiator. However, if you are unsure, please call Matt and we would be happy to come out and check over your central heating system.

Why is my radiator hot at the top but cold at the bottom?

The most common cause of this is sludge build up in the radiator itself. This can be rectified by having a power flush which will completely cleanse the whole system. click here for more info on power flush.

What should I do if I can smell gas?

Turn the gas supply off at the meter. Open windows and call Matt or emergency gas services 0800 111999.

What do I do if I have a leak in my house?

If you have a broken pipe or fixture out in the open, you can count yourself lucky. Do your best to control the water leak. Turn off the water to your home using the stopcock, and call Matt immediately to come out and fix your problem.
